Designed for law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, detention, chaplains, clinicians, and public safety leaders, Peer Ready Texas provides practical, field-relevant training that prepares responders to support one another before, during, and after high-stress incidents.

Peer support is more than being available when someone is in crisis. It requires preparation, confidence, trust, emotional intelligence, and the ability to recognize when a conversation is supportive, when it is clinical, and when it requires immediate intervention. Peer Ready Texas was created to help public safety professionals build those skills in a way that is realistic, strength-based, and grounded in the realities of the job.

Through monthly training, continuing education opportunities, practical tools, and real-world discussion, Peer Ready Texas focuses on the conversations and situations that peers actually face: cumulative stress, trauma exposure, burnout, moral injury, grief, relationship strain, critical incidents, substance use concerns, suicide risk, post-incident recovery, family stress, and the challenge of asking for help in a profession built around helping others.

The goal of Peer Ready Texas is simple: to help public safety professionals become more prepared, more confident, and more effective when supporting their people.

Our training emphasizes peer readiness under pressure. Participants learn how to identify warning signs, build trust, ask better questions, listen with purpose, maintain appropriate boundaries, connect others to resources, and understand when a situation may require a higher level of care. The approach is practical, direct, and built for the public safety environment.

Peer Ready Texas also recognizes that wellness is not only an individual responsibility. Healthy peer support systems require strong leadership, clear expectations, ethical practice, cultural trust, and continued training. That is why our content is designed not only for individual peer team members, but also for supervisors, command staff, wellness coordinators, clinicians, chaplains, dispatch leaders, and agencies working to build or strengthen a sustainable peer support program.

Whether you are a newly trained peer, an experienced team member, a supervisor trying to better support your personnel, or an agency looking to build a healthier culture, Peer Ready Texas exists to provide practical training that helps public safety professionals show up for one another with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Peer Ready Texas is built on the belief that strong peer support saves careers, strengthens families, protects communities, and reminds public safety professionals that they do not have to carry the weight of the work alone.

Enhancing Skills Through Peer Support Videos

In today's fast-paced world, learning and skill enhancement are more important than ever.
